Ordinary People

“An army of ordinary people” by Felicity Dale is a collection of stories of how God uses everyday people to start home churches. The author refers to the home churches as “simple churches”. Each chapter reflects a different story and illustrates life-lessons and principles that are learnt along the way.

This book could be viewed as a “how-to” start a home church yet it is much more than that. It shows the simplicity of the gospel of lives touching lives. This can happen in a home church, the coffee shop, at school, at work. Anywhere and everywhere is a mission field.

“These are simply ordinary people doing ordinary stuff that is enabling God to produce an extraordinary result. Do you want to be one of them?” (pg. 11) After finishing this book it inspires and encourages me to answer “yes”.

I would give this 4 stars.

I received this book from Tyndale House Publishers as part of Tyndale Blog Network. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions expressed are my own.
