Embracing Your Second Calling

Embracing Your Second Calling by Dale Hanson Bourke has some interesting perspectives for the woman who is entering those "mid-life" years.  For many women these years are ones of "empty-nests", retirement, a "slowing-down".  It is this season of life that God begins to arrest our attention and He begins to stir something new, fresh and exciting within our soul.

It is realizing that God is taking us on a journey that is transforming us from the inside out.  It not about the doing, but about the becoming-more like Him.  It is a season to mentor younger women, sharing with them the wisdom, hope and grace that we have found in God.

Embracing Your Second Calling is an excellent book and it gives points to "Act" upon and places to "Reflect".  It is a book that would lend itself to a group discussion.   There are many nuggets of gold hidden within its pages.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com http://BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
